Die erst 19jährige Tini Gruber ist die erste Lady, welche sich in dem sonst von Männern dominierten Teamfahrerfeld von HOTZONE.TV einen Platz erobern konnte. Verantwortlich dafür ist Ihre unglaublich kraftvolle, fast schon männermäßige, stylische Art Snowboard zu fahren und auch Ihre positive und offene Einstellung gegenüber Neuem.

Durch eine schwere Knieverletzung im letzten Jahr zurück geworfen, ist Tini inzwischen stärker zurück als jemals zuvor, was man unter anderem an Ihren Top Platzierungen bei diversen Contests (2nd Sistaz Session2010; 1st White Performance 2009; 1st Stubaital Jam 2009) sehen kann.

Definitiv ein Mädel, von dem Ihr in Zukunft noch viel hören werdet, vor allem nachdem Tini in diesem Winter viel Zeit zum Snowboarden hat.

Es ist immer das Gleiche mit Frau Holle: wenn man sie braucht – z.B. am Anfang des Winters - lässt sie sehnlichst auf sich warten. Anstatt weiß funkelnder Schneelandschaften, dominieren dann heutzutags oft grüne Wiesen den besinnlichen Advent. Wenn man schon gar nicht mehr mit ihr rechnet und sie nicht unbedingt ins Konzept passt, dann schlägt sie eiskalt und unerbärmlich zu.

So geschehen am letzten Jännerwochenende in Gerlos im Zillertal. Am 30. Jänner fand direkt im Dorfzentrum von Gerlos in der Zillertal Arena das erste Mal die gloryfy BASTARDS Session statt. 16 geladene Fahrer, aufgeteilt in acht Zweier-Teams, kämpften in den Kategorien „unbreakable Team“ und „Air of glory“ (Best Trick) um die Podestplätze. Das Starterfeld setzte sich zusammen aus altbekannten Größen wie Rudi Kröll, Chris Kröll, Rein Rieser oder Wolle Beer und Young Guns internationalen Rufes wie Werni Stock, Anthony Smits, Daniel Mösl oder Davide Beltracchi.

Was noch beeindruckender als das Starterfeld war, war das Set-Up das Shaper Manfred „Brandy“ Brandacher mitten ins Zentrum von Gerlos gezaubert hatte. Eine 9 Meter hohe und 20 m lange Corner baute sich wie eine riesige, weiße Wand aus Schnee vor den Ridern auf. Einen zusätzlichen Adrenalinkick verpasste einem dann noch das Start-Feature: der jeweilige Run der Rider begann zig Meter den Hang hinauf, mit einem Bomb Drop von der Schaufel eines Baggers!

Zu diesem spektakulären Set-Up schickte dann Frau Holle noch Mengen an Schnee, mit denen Tony Montana seine reinste Freude gehabt hätte. Fand das Practice am Freitag noch bei Sonnenschein und Bluebird statt, präsentierte sich der Gerloser Himmel am Samstag wolkenverhangen und den ganzen Tag bis in die Abendstunden schneiend.

Dies tat allerdings weder der Stimmung der Zuschauermengen, noch der Qualität des Ridings, einen Abbruch. Gekonnt wie immer rockte eine Hälfte der Banterbox MCs, Mr. Jon Weaver, die Crowd mit seiner Moderation und die Beats der Wax Wreckaz halfen gegen die kältebedingte Starre der Glieder.

Ab dem Beginn der Quali brannten die Teams ein Feuerwerk an Airtime und Style ab. Kaum ein Trick spielte sich unter der 4 m Marke ab und Shredder wie der letztjährige Wängl Tängl MVP Reini Rieser stellten Alley Oop 3er Indy Nosebones in die Landung, die knapp an die 6 m Marke kratzten. Werni Stock ging mit überstylishen BS 1ern und 5ern mit verschiedenen Grabvariationen gleich über das ganze Obstacle. Während sich die Kröll Airlines-Piloten Rudi und Chris, mit Alley Oop- und Spin-Variationen in die Corner Landung und über das gesamte Teil, die Zeit vertrieben.

Nach der Quali fand der Cut auf die 4 besten Teams statt. Der durch einen bösen Slam ausgeknockte Engadiner Corsin Simeon, wurde spontanerweise in den Finals von Daniel Mösl vertreten, wodurch das neuen Team Daniel Mösl/Davide Beltracchi voll motiviert an den Start gehen konnte. In den letzten zwei Runs zeigte Daniel, dass er nicht ohne Grund heuer am Air & Style Rookie Contest gut mitmischte. Mit einem Backflip Indy über das gesamte Obstacle zeigte der junge Innsbrucker warum mit ihm in Zukunft immer mehr zu rechnen sein wird. Sein Neo-Teampartner Davide zeigte 1A Snowboarden der Engadiner-Schule und überzeugte mit riesigen Airs über die monströse Corner.

Somit sicherten sich Mösl/Beltracchi den „unbreakable Team“ Award und Reini Rieser überzeugt die Judges Michi Albin und Christian Reinhardt mit seinen immer wieder perfekt gestompten Alley Oop-Spins, dass er den „Air of glory“ Award mehr als nur verdient hatte.

Nach einem langen Tag an der frischen Luft mit tonnenweise gefallenem Schnee, gab es nur noch eines zu tun: Party as hard as possible. Durch die nur zwei Gehminuten vom Sessiongelände entfernte After-Party Location war dies auch kein Problem. Die Wax Wreckaz und Moderator/Zweibrett-Legende Martin „Misofon“ Misof am Mic gaben der Brettsport-Gemeinde an diesem Abend noch den letzten Rest. Und als um ca. 6 Uhr früh die letzten Rider glücklich in ihre Betten fielen, konnte man getrost von einer gelungenen, ersten gloryfy BASTARDS Session sprechen.

It´s on again! The Aesthetiker Jam - Waengl Taengl 2010 is going take place from the 10th to 13th of March in Mayrhofen, Austria. HOTZONE.TV and THE SEEKER are cutting down the long waiting time for the great snowboard action with a new feature: The Waengl Taengl Photo Contest!

As known from the Aesthetiker Jams, we can look forward to freestyle snowboarding of highest l

evel with top international riders rocking the especially modified Vans Penken Park for the Waengl Taengl. For all those, who can´t wait for the mothership of all Aesthetiker Jams to start, HOTZONE.TV and THE SEEKER bring up a great pastime. About the Waengl Taengl 2010

The Vans Penken Park is rearranged in a very special manner for the Waengl Taengl to make everyone go crazy! Accordingly the ‘Red Bull Endsection’ is constructed every year as a worldwide unique obstacle. In the Snowboard Gang Jam the teams are battling in a slopestyle format for fame and honour. Down in the valley there are artists at work dealing with photography, street art and various other aesthetical activities for young people. No Aesthetiker Jam without a Skate Jam! At the Game of Skate everyone can take part and show off the best tricks. The nightly Aesthetiker Parties are known for a very chilled atmosphere with exceptional music line-ups consisting of Austrian and international acts, turning into unforgettable festivity where everyone parties harder! Was ist gloryfy BASTARDS?

gloryfy BASTARDS ist ein Event der am 30.1.2010 direkt im beschaulichen Ort Gerlos in der Zillertal Arena stattfinden wird. Anders als bei den üblichen großen, internationalen Big Air-Events geht es hier nicht vorrangig darum Hundertausende Euro Preisgeld zu gewinnen. Es geht darum mit neuen und alten Freunden an einem perfekten Obstacle eine gute Zeit zu haben. An einem Obstacle das es in dieser Art und Weise in Tirol noch nicht gegeben hat. Es geht darum zusammen eine sicke Session zu haben, fernab vom Leistungsdruck der Mega-Events und dem Punktedruck der „Spinto- win“- Contests.

Wie wird die Session gefahren?

gloryfy BASTARDS soll für das Publikum eine interessante und transparente Show sein. Für die Fahrer gilt: Alles geht,

Nichts muss! 16 geladene Snowboarder (8 2er Teams) und 16 geladene Freeskier (8 2er Teams) fahren in mehreren

Sessions: Technical, Style und Highest Air.

Was kann man gewinnen?

gloryfy BASTARDS ist eine Session für Rider die an einem außergewöhnlichen Obstacle eine gute Show liefern und mit anderen Shreddern eine gute Zeit haben wollen. Damit die Leistungen allerdings nicht unhonoriert bleiben gibt es Awards in den Kategorien „Most Stylish Trick“, „Most Technical Trick“ und „Highest Air“: für die 2 Gewinner (jeweils in der Kategorie Snowboard und Freeski) EUR 500,- als Party-Hard-Support

Gibt es eine Party an dem Abend?

gloryfy BASTARDS wird ein Abend voller sicker Tricks und dicker Beats. Dafür, dass die Bässe an dem Abend ordentlich wummern und statt Aprés-Ski Sound richtige Musik aus den Boxen kommt, sorgen die berühmt berüchtigten Wax Wreckaz aus Innsbruck. Erprobt in Clubs und Events von Innsbruck bis Berlin, Zürich und retour wird ihre Mischung aus HipHop und Electronica kein Tanzbein ruhig stehen lassen. Untertags und bis in die frühen Abendstunden wird die Session-Area beschallt und später gehts zur VIP-Afterparty im kleinen Rahmen für Rider, Staff und Freunde. Mehr Infos dazu in Kürze.

gloryfy BASTARDS ist ein Event von Ridern für Rider. Damit die Reisekosten nicht all zu groß werden, übernimmt

gloryfy für Rider mit längerem Anreiseweg die keinen Schlafplatz haben, die Übernachtung. Zusätzlich gibt es am

Der Run beginnt mit einem Drop von einer Baggerschaufel die den Fahrer so hoch in die Luft hebt, wie er will. Danach geht es auf das Hauptfeature der Session. Dort kann man wählen ob man sich über die Corner in die Stratosphäre schießt oder sich klassisch per Kicker über den 25 m Table wirft.

The HOTZONE.TV snowboard pro team goes on a shred mission to Europe´s best snow domes

The first snow has fallen, the first powder kickers have been built and the first powder pictures are already in the box. Right, before the winter season kicks off in the mountains, some of the HOTZONE.TV snowboard pro team riders travel to Europe´s best snow domes to meet the local dudes and rock the best indoor parks together with them.

Well-known riders like Werni Stock, Andreas „Mone“ Monsberger, Peter Koenig and Lars Oesterle will not only show off, they will also be on hand for freebie individual freestyle snowboard coachings for the local homies and help with tips and tricks.

First stop of the HOTZONE.TV indoor snowboard sessions is the Alpincenter Bottrop in the heart of the German „Ruhr district.“ Especially for Saturday, 21st of November, the team of the local ski- and snowboard school Top On Snow will place a nice set-up with freshly shaped snowpark on the 640 metre slope of the snow dome. Freestyle fans can look forward to a beginner and medium kicker, flat down box, down box and down rail and incidentally test the latest products of Flow snowboards.
On Sunday, 22nd of November, it continues in the Netherlands at SnowWorld Landgraaf, close to the German border. All those, who have been there before, already know it well! A trip to SnowWorld Landgraaf is worth a journey. Not only, because it is amply rewarded with five slopes of up to 520 metres length, eight lifts and the world wide largest indoor snowpark. The set-up with two rail lines and one kicker line is impressive. Two „pro“ kickers, one „medium“ kicker and a great choice of rails and boxes in all different sizes and variations from rainbow to flat, down and flat down and up to down flat down make sure, that it never gets boring at SnowWorld Landgraaf. All those, who like to stay for the weekend, can check in at the Hotel SnowWorld for quite affordable prices.

On Saturday, 28th of November, the HOTZONE.TV snowboard pro team riders are moving on to visit the perfectly shaped Q-Park in Europe´s most modern indoor ski resort just before the gates of Hamburg, in the SNOW DOME Bispingen. On a slope of 300 metres length and 100 metres width, the snowpark Bispingen shines with a majestic set-up of four kickers, five boxes and rails (butter, flat, up down, kinked, A-frame).

Last stop on the schedule of the HOTZONE.TV indoor snowboard sessions is Snowtropolis, situated in Eastern Germany between Berlin and Dresden. On Sunday, 29th of November, the 130 metre long and 40 metre wide slope transforms into a perfect snow park with kickers, rails and boxes.
Travelling into the „Lausitz“ for that weekend will surely be worth it! Budget holiday homes in log cabin style can also be rented for the weekend.

The snowboard freestyle coachings are free of charge. Participants will only have to pay for the skipass as far as they aren’t a proud owner of an annual-season-ticket.
Everybody can sign-in at 10.00 a.m. at the HOTZONE.TV booth in the foyer right in the morning before the session starts.

Shredding, coaching and rocking time will be between 11.00 a.m. and 05.00 p.m.

Im Zuge des Openings am Stubaier Gletscher veranstaltete Volcom einen Contest unter dem Namen „ Volcom Sausage Snake Shop Battle“. Ein Team bestehend aus 3 Ridern, welche jeweils einen Bezug zu dem jeweiligen Shop haben.

So bestand das Team HOTZONE/ the Seeker aus den Nachwuchsfahrern Alex Walch, Daniel Mösl und dem Veteran Rudi Kröll. Fast jeder namhafte österreichische Shop hatte ein Team vor Ort.

Das Wetter zeigte sich an diesem Wochenende nicht von seiner besten Seite und so war teilweise sogar die Rede vom Abbruch des Shopbattles. Der Contest bot eine Kickerline, eine Railline und zusätzlich noch einen Slalom Parcours mit Zeitmessung.

Die HOTZONE Fahrer überzeugten von Anfang an. Rudi Kröll bestach mit super cleanen Cab 9ern und holte sich extra Punkte für seinen Racingstyle. Der junge Alex Walch stickte super stylische Fs 7er und bot das ganze Wochenende über Riding auf hohem Niveau. Dani Mösl machte feine Bs7er und Bs 9er und bailte leider bei seinem Bs 10 Versuch. Schlussendlich schaute für das Team der beachtliche Dritte Platz dabei heraus.

So wurde das Wochenende zum vollen Erfolg und HOTZONE sagt: Danke Burschen für den Einsatz und den Dritten Platz
